Five light novel adaptations of DNAngel currently exist, in japanese only. Ningyo no Namida, Yuki no Joō and Garasu no Kutsu are original stories. In 2003, the anime has been adapted in two volumes.

Ningyo no Namida[]

D.N.Angel : Ningyo no Namida (人魚の涙, lit. "Mermaid's Tears") is a light novel created and illustrated by Yukiru Sugisaki, written by Junko Okazaki.

Yuki no Joō[]

D.N.Angel : Yuki no Joō (雪の女王, lit. "The Snow Queen") is a light novel created and illustrated by Yukiru Sugisaki, written by Junko Okazaki.

Daisuke and Dark are about to steal the Snow Queen tiara but are defeated by Hiwatari. The bewitched thief is taken by the cursed tiara and Daisuke decides to get him back himself after sending a warning letter.[1]

Garasu no Kutsu[]

D.N.Angel : Garasu no Kutsu (硝子の靴, lit. "Glass Slipper") is a light novel created and illustrated by Yukiru Sugisaki, written by Junko Okazaki.

Daisuke and Riku investigate a church in order to help a lost girl, whom they had come across while on a date. In the church, there is a special exhibit of the Glass Slipper, accompanied by an old story: that the colour of its light changes in accordance to the feelings of the person that touches it. There they meet the young girl’s older brother, Sagami, who resembles Dark. He gives Daisuke a warning. He, like Dark, is also aiming for the Glass Slipper.

A following day, Sagami appears at Daisuke’s school as a student teacher. What exactly are his intentions?[3][4]

TV Animation Series 1st[]

D.N.Angel TV Animation Series 1st is the first volume of the light novel adaptation of the DNAngel anime. It has been published by Kadokawa Beans Bunko on July 31, 2003. It was written by Arisa Maki and illustrated by Yukiru Sugisaki.

D.N.Angel TV Animation Series 2nd is the second volume of the light novel adaptation of the DNAngel anime. It has been published by Kadokawa Beans Bunko on September 30, 2003. It was written by Arisa Maki and illustrated by Yukiru Sugisaki.
